Darap Dzimkha

Darap is a peaceful Himalayan village near Pelling in West Sikkim, famous for its traditional Limboo culture, eco-tourism, homestays, and beautiful surroundings. It lies about 6–8 km from Pelling on the road toward Yuksom and Khecheopalri Lake. The village is surrounded by forests, cardamom farms, terrace fields, and hills. Many travelers visit Darap to enjoy a quiet village atmosphere away from crowded tourist spots. One of the main attractions near Darap and Pelling is the breathtaking view of Mount Kanchenjunga, especially during sunrise. Pelling is considered one of the best places in Sikkim for close panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range. However, the snow peaks are more clearly visible from upper areas of Pelling than from most lower parts of Darap village itself because Darap is at a slightly lower elevation.
